Videowall: prepare a shared screen
Videowall makes queue names, waiting calls and conversations readable from a distance. Set the visible section and tile size for the real display before leaving it running in the control room.
Open the dedicated display
Use the Videowall control available from Dashboard or Wallboard. Choose the section that the screen must represent. Its contents remain limited by the live visibility granted to the account; selecting a display mode does not grant access to additional queues. Ask the administrator for an appropriate screen account when the display is shared.
Adjust readability
Choose a tile size that leaves queue names and counts legible at the intended viewing distance. Select light or dark theme according to room lighting. Review the section after resizing: more tiles on screen can make important numbers harder to read. Use the preferences associated with this account for waiting alerts.
Validate the display
Compare one tile with the same queue in Dashboard or Wallboard and allow for refresh timing. Check that a waiting alert corresponds to the configured threshold. A reduced set of fields is intentional: the screen is for rapid observation. Open the operational workspace to inspect agents or apply a permitted command.
Find the correct group and personalize the view
Three settings work together. Operational views defines the shared organization and display names. Account permissions control pages and actions; its live resource scopes limit visible resources. Preferences adapts the authorized view to your work. Personal settings do not grant additional access.
Check the selected group
Select the expected section or group and clear any active display or state filters. Compare the visible items with another authorized view before reporting a missing resource.
Adjust your preferences
Open Preferences for your account and use the relevant display options. Save and return to the workspace to check the result. Ask the administrator about group membership, shared aliases or permissions that you cannot change.
Prepare and check the physical screen
Use the intended account
Sign in with the account configured for that display, open Dashboard or Wallboard and launch Videowall. Select the section that the audience should see rather than assuming it inherited your last personal selection.
Adjust the presentation
Choose the tile-size setting and inspect both short and long queue names. Check Only active queues and choose the light or dark display theme; these options are saved in your account. Full-screen mode enlarges the presentation; it does not change the authorized resources.
Validate live operation
During a known call, confirm that waiting/conversation indicators update and remain readable from the viewing distance. Recheck the session after reopening the browser; an expired account session cannot continue as an authenticated display.
Example: a busy service area
For a support room, display only the relevant section and increase tile size until its longest queue name fits comfortably. Trigger no artificial calls: compare the next real change with Wallboard. If all tiles remain unchanged unexpectedly, investigate connectivity or session status rather than assuming demand has stopped.
Use the controls, understand what changes
Choose the queue section, active-only filter and tile size before entering fullscreen. Fullscreen enlarges the display, not the set of authorized queues. Prepare the personal order in Dashboard or Wallboard; Videowall does not provide the same queue drag handles.
